In general editing options are closed throughout the year and during these times if you have an urgent update or editing need Text Modifications can be purchased.
Your update can include your registered business address to provide an accurate Google map link, business phone number & fax number (for more details please see: How do I add a Listing )
Your update can include additional details or corrections to your listed page (Tip: the more information you provide regarding your website, services or products the better your chances are of attracting more visitors to your site) Google loves information = more traffic to your site.
Email announcements on the latest specials, discounts or bonus offers on paid listing enhancements, new features and tips for business owners, website owners, web developers and search engine optimisers (Note: you can unsubscribe at any time if you wish)

Although it is not necessary for a website owner to claim their site, once claimed it then gives you the same benefits as the owner who manually adds in their own listing.
