So you have a better idea what works and what doesn't, I'll give you some guidelines of how best to list your website within the Aussiesrus Australia Directory. Successful listings that will rank well with the search engines are very important to your website as good listings will boost your traffic.

Most important is the Description field from which Metakeys are generated. Aussiesrus use the description information provided by you to formulate metakeys for search engines to find your website listing, products and services.

Search engines love unique content. If your website information is precisely the same as your listing information word for word the search engines will most likely rank your listing poorly or even drop it all together as duplicate content.

Search engines understand text and HTML code. If your website is heavy on graphics with little text this is not good.

You spend a lot of time building your website as a portal to your business so spend the time wisely when you create your listing with Aussiesrus and this will help us to help you be found more ways on the Internet.

What works:

• Do a quick search in the directory to make sure your site isn't already listed. If your site is already listed then claim it and update your listing.
  
  
• Identify the single best category for your site. The Aussiesrus directory has an enormous array of subjects to choose from. You should submit a site to the single most relevant category. Sites submitted to inappropriate or unrelated categories may be rejected or removed.
  
  
• Try to include your description information uniquely from your website information. Mix it up a little.
  
  
• Be descriptive and concise as possible.
  
  
• Make your description text based.
  
  
• Use the standard font provided.
  
  
• Provide accurate information.
  
  
• Include as much information about your website, products and services as possible.

• Copy and paste your website information word for word in your listings description field.
  
  
• Add complex html into your description field.
  
  
• Add graphics into your description field.
  
  
• Use unusual fonts.
  
  
• Over do it with repetitive information.
  
  
• Add links.
  
  
• Write one line descriptions.
  
  
• Provide false or misleading information.
